Peaches was a 7 year old Moluccan Cockatoo that was a real sweetheart! She loved to preen Daddy's hair, and just be a couch potato. She wanted to have Babies, so I put her next to the Moluccan Male cage for 3 months for an acclimination period. Everything was going well, and then in the 3rd week together she laid her first egg! Then, two days later she laid another! The next day, when coming home from work I heard some terrible screeming, upon going into the bird room I found Peaches on the bottom of the cage, with most of her upper and lower beak missing. The Moluccan Male had attacked her. I tried for 5 days to save her but on the 5th day the Vet that I had left her with said to come, she was not doing well. I rushed to the vet and took her in my arms, she tried to preen my hair for me, and then, died in my arms. She wanted to live so Badly, and fought so hard for me , I Loved Her and she will be missed.
